ATTENTION ARTISTS -- YES, YOU!
I am currently on the hunt for an artist willing to take on a large, multi-character commission. The exact details of the piece are still being worked out -- this is essentially a "team photo" for a group of roleplayers' characters and I'm still getting input from the rest of the group -- but you can expect around seven to ten fairly detailed characters, working from mostly written descriptions (we *are* roleplayers, after all), and a weird mix of playful nonsense and dramatic-looking personas. Payment is fully open to discussion -- you quote me a price and we'll go from there -- but there are two things I intend to be immovable regarding.
ONE: Payment will be in a half now, half later arrangement. 'Now' is when we (the RPers and I) agree on who we want for the job. 'Later' is when the artwork is finished. Considering the number of characters and the probably heft level of detail I expect to pay handsomely... but I will *not* pay for nothing, so don't even ask for payment up front.
TWO: You've got to be good. Very good. This is a gift to a group of friends and I can't have it look half-baked. If you're interested in the job link me to three of your best pieces, preferably with at least one that showcases a large character group (if possible).
These are human and human-like characters so if your only expertise is with Sonic or pony fan characters then this isn't really for you. Anime or other styles are fine as long as the quality's up to par. And keep in mind that you may end up drawing fantasy / steampunk weapons as part of the image.
